Modelling of transport relations

Macroscopic transport modelling is an essential part of transport planning. Its aim is to describe how people travel, respectively how they will travel. It is a discipline that does not target only on rail transport, but generally deals with all transport modes. The fundamental theoretical concept is so called four-step travel demand model, which tries to answer the questions where from, where to, how and which way people travel.
The philosophy of our company is to put new techniques and innovative approaches in the macroscopic transport modelling into practice.
For our engineering activities in the field of modelling transport relations we use mainly the software VISUM of a German company PTV.
We offer creation of macroscopic transport models to support decisions about changing transportation systems in both public and individual passenger transport. For railway construction projects we create forecasts of transport relations to support the economic appraisal of those projects.
