Transportation Technology

The subject of transportation technology is balancing on the one hand, the needs of railway operation, represented mainly by demand for passengers and cargo transportation , and on the other hand the capacity – skills and ability of the railway infrastructure. The main objective of transportation technology is creating a timetable – an offer (as a complementary element to demand), which is located in a complex triangle “timetable – vehicle – infrastructure”.

Our philosophy is systematic planning of the railway network for both passenger and freight rail traffic on the principles of the periodic (clockface) timetable. The foundations for this approach in the Czech Republic were given in a research project Configuration of periodic timetable nodes in the railway network of the Czech Republic, where our company founders participated in the years 2007 to 2009.

For the needs of transportation technology we use the software package FBS/iPlan provided by iRFP.
